Another crap week in the life of Blackpool FC Fri 29th May 2015 18:40
You'd like to think in the crap world of Blackpool FC that one day we will finally hit rock bottom and things may start to improve. There have been many false dawns from the last minute escape from relegation at Wigan to the appointment of Jose Riga but each have proved little more than minor blips. In fact, if anything, those moments when you think we're finally on the up are worse than when we get slapped in the face with another piece of bad news - it's the hope that kills you!
and the new Blackpool manager is .... Mon 25th May 2015 17:45
.. well we've still got not a Scooby Do! 16 days since Lee Clark packed an Aldi shopping bag with his 'I love David Perkins' mug, his Tony McMahon tea towel and a memo from the Chairman telling him not to play the kids, we're still in the dark as to who the new manager is. In the meantime, we've elected a new government, failed again at Eurovision and allowed PNE to leapfrog us again in the league - if this decision takes any longer then AFC Fylde might overtake us as well.
Which Blackpool Hero was Clark after? Thu 21st May 2015 16:01
Lee Clark's departure didn't leave that many questions unanswered. Just the fact he was working under Karl Oyston satisfied anyone who was curious to know why he went! Of course the timing was a bit strange having seen through one of Blackpool's worst ever runs of form, having waved off 17 players and having sorted out a pre-season and a long list of names that he wanted to bring to the club. However, the one question we may never get an answer to is which recent Blackpool hero was he trying to lure back?
Oyston's Good, Bad and Ugly (sorry Ollie!) Sat 16th May 2015 17:10
This weekend the chances are that Karl Oyston is staring at some very bemused, startled and shocked faces. The reason? It's believed that this weekend he is interviewing for the next recipient of the Poisoned Chalice. The job that everyone is aware of, but seemingly few are throwing their hat in to the ring for. Of course if Ian Holloway has applied you'd think it was all over bar the shouting and we would now know who the next 'in the lion's den' is. But can we have any confidence in Karl's decision making?
That's another fine mess for Ollie to sort out Mon 11th May 2015 14:00
'Heartbreaking' is how Ian Holloway describes the current situation at Bloomfield Road 'like a flesh eating disease' - well we're sure that Karl Oyston has been described in worse ways. If Ian Holloway was using his television interview today as a job application for the vacant managers job at Blackpool, it was probably slightly flawed. However, the fact that his name repeatedly crops up does show the inevitable conclusions that his name is in the frame for the job (at least it would save Karl some money on a new name plate for the managers door).
Bitter Blow to former 'Pool Star Sun 10th May 2015 18:15
In the words of Ian Evatt 'To be attacked on a football pitch and fear for your safety is a disgrace' but that was the fate of the former Seasiders defender at Deepdale on Sunday afternoon. Following a pitch invasion (something it would be ironic for Blackpool fans to condone) after their Play Off win against Chesterfield, some North End fans saw Evo as a target for abuse and clearly took it too far.
Football First or Political Priorities? Andy Higgins loses out in Blackpool South Fri 08th May 2015 15:19
As Ed Milliband seeks solace in a bacon sandwich, Nick Clegg looks over his divorce papers from David Cameron and Nigel Farage heads down to the pub, there was one result on Thursday night which won't have got any recognition nationally but locally made for a good story. Andy Higgins was standing as an Independent with the slogan: ‘Promoting Blackpool — Put Football First’.
Blackpool FC: Championship Side 2007-2010; 2011-2015 Mon 06th Apr 2015 17:51

Blackpool 1 Leeds 1 Sun 22nd Mar 2015 09:44
Another point to relegation than safety as Blackpool picked up a draw against a Leeds side and finally showed some of the drive and ability that has been lacking for much of this season. The decision to finally play Cubero from the start was welcomed by Blackpool fans and the Costa Rican made a difference to the way the side played. Unfortunately, one mistake denied Clark's side the win again.
Blackpool 1 Wigan 3 Sun 01st Mar 2015 17:14
So that is effectively that. Blackpool, unless there is a minor miracle or World War III will be playing their football in League One next season. Another appalling afternoon on the Fylde Coast where the foul weather matched the atrocious weather on an unplayable surface,
